Lindsay has just finished a unit of study on China, and to celebrate, we went to a Chinese restaurant on Friday for lunch. Lindsay and Logan got chicken and broccoli with noodles and ate their entire lunch with chopsticks. They wanted the authentic Chinese experience! Luke even wanted to “try” the chopsticks and ended up grabbing his thumb more than his food! While eating, we noticed the beauty of the written Chinese language around the restaurant and the lanterns hanging above each table which are so typical of the Chinese culture. It was a fun way to spend a Friday lunch!

Our Family Verse
"And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." Micah 6:8

Things I love:
the forgiveness of Jesus, my husband, my children, a summer thunderstorm, a good parking spot, my cat sleeping on my feet, laughing, time with a friend, sunlight streaming through a window, the beach, mocha lattes, fuzzy socks, newborn babies, the smell of burning leaves, the truth, the quiet of falling snow, my camera, a picnic lunch, holding my husband's hand, a cup of tea, a cozy fire, the clearance rack, a warm chocolate chip cookie, a good book, the mountains, the smell of a dairy farm, exploring a new place on a family vacation, blueberry picking, reading with my children, praying for others, early morning walks, and watching my children learn something new

You have a very sweet way of writing! I enjoyed all of your posts and will stop by to read more. Motherhood is a ministry and you seem to be glorifying the Lord every minute!
